Honda Civic Takes Home North American Car of the Year Award

Honda Civic - Fort Smith, AR
You just can’t beat the amazing quality of the Honda Civic!

The Honda Civic was recently recognized by the Detroit Free Press as the best car of the recent Detroit Auto Show. Winning the “North American Car of the Year” award, the Civic has some great new features, better performance and a sleek design.

According to the Detroit Free Press, the Civic was an obvious front runner since its release, and the model was up nearly 30% in terms of sale. This car comes with a bold new fascia, with LED lighting and a sharp grille. A turbocharged engine ups power and fuel economy, while rain-sensing wipers and a capless fuel system are the tip of the iceberg in terms of accessories.

“I think the Civic is improved in every possible metric,” Tony Swan, a co-founder of the award and automotive reviewer. Swan designed the award to be given by an independent jury of auto journalists from the US and Canada, each of which voted for their favorites overall.

Other finalists included the Chevy Malibu, Mazda Miata, Honda Pilot, and Nissan Titan XD. This is the second time the Civic has won the North American Car of the Year award, the first time being in 2006.
