Honda is known for many things, including its consistent lineup of diverse vehicles, top-notch safety features, and fuel-efficient technology. Plus, the automaker makes some of the most affordable vehicles, year-after-year, and Kelley Blue Book (KBB) is taking notice.
KBB recently named Honda the “Best Value Brand” at their 2017 Brand Image Awards, saying that Honda offers “a special blend of reliability, refinement and outstanding resale value unmatched by any other automaker,” and adding that “just about every vehicle Honda makes is among the best-selling, best-reviewed vehicles in its segment.”
The prestigious site also pointed out that Honda’s resale values are consistently impressive, making sure you truly get your money’s worth out of your car, even when you’re ready to sell it back.
Talk about high praise! To be fair, we at Floyd Traylor Honda are hardly surprised. Come pay us a visit anytime, and we’ll show you just how excellent the value of a new Honda can be. Our enormous selection of Honda vehicles may just include your next vehicle.
You can also explore the many awards Honda has won this year alone on Honda’s website, where you’ll discover that Honda’s value has been praised over and over again.
Honda has dedicated itself to innovative technology, design, and performance over the years, and the latest result of that commitment to cutting-edge engineering is a new 10-speed transmission. The brand revealed production of the all-new gearbox is going into effect starting now and will be fitted into the drivetrain of the upcoming 2018 Honda Odyssey. The 2018 Honda Odyssey will arrive at dealerships like ours, Floyd Traylor Honda, sometime this spring.
The 10-speed transmission will be the first-ever of its kind in front-wheel drive vehicles. The plan is to begin production of the gearbox for the Odyssey, and then gradually expand availability across other nameplates in Honda’s model lineup, as well as vehicles offered from Acura. Investing in production of the new 10-speed will cost Honda $150 million total, including the cost of a new assembly line, new equipment, and boosting production capacity.
The new 10-speed transmission from Honda is one of the first of its kind. However, Ford and General Motors have already developed a 10-speed gearbox of their own together, which is offered as an option on the new F-150 Raptor and Camaro for the 2017 model years; the 10-speed gearbox is set to make an appearance on the 2018 Mustang later this year.
Will a 10-speed transmission become a new staple in the industry? Time will tell.
The 2017 Acura NSX is ready to turn heads. This car is truly one-of-a-kind, especially for the MusiCares Foundation.
A custom 2017 Acura NSX was built specifically for a very musical purpose: the MusiCares Foundation. This charity, established in 1989, by The Recording Academy, is all about giving musicians a safe space to make their music. They provide financial, medical, and personal help to musicians in need.
Acura is a big fan of music, and has been in support of the MusiCares Foundation for five years. That’s why it crafted a unique Acura NSX for the occasion. The custom Acura NSX has a nine-speaker, premium audio system and a Carbon Fiber Interior Sport Package with full leather power seats. There are also custom modifications like black carbon ceramic brakes and custom red interior stitching. Whoever’s sitting in the luxurious Acura NSX will be able to enjoy their favorite musical in ultimate comfort.
The car was auctioned off at the 2017 MusiCares Person of the Year Tribute (which honored Tom Petty). All proceeds from the 2017 Acura NSX auction will go directly to the MusiCares foundation.
If you love music, then that’s just another reason to love the Honda Acura! Combine both of your loves today and get behind the wheel of an Acura.
The 2015 SEMA Show in Las Vegas was full of exciting technologies and vehicles, but none had us quite as excited as the Honda lineup.
The automaker showed off a hefty number of toys at the Show, most of which were tuned for maximum style and performance.
The most impressive were the Ridgeline Baja Race Truck, which we’ll see racing at the Baja 1000 this month, and the Pilot Baja Chase Vehicle, which will provide assistance at the same race should anything go wrong.
Honda also wanted to show how crazy you can get with the all-new HR-V, so it let four American tuning houses have their way with it. Bisimoto Engineering, Tjin Edition, Fox Marketing, and MAD Industries all had a go at the HR-V, and each version was worth a look.
Some would prefer to limit their customization endeavors to Honda Genuine Accessories, and the automaker had something for them too. The 2016 Pilot Concept “Black Edition” and 2016 Civic sedan were both brought to the SEMA Show with several attractive enhancements and modifications, all covered by warranty should you wish to emulate them after you get your own Honda vehicle at Floyd Traylor Honda!
