Honda Redesigns 2018 Accord, Shifts Production Facilities

Currently, midsize sedans aren’t fairing too well in an automotive market that favors larger vehicles like the Honda Pilot. But, Honda recently revealed the redesigned 2018 Honda Accord, a family-sized sedan, which might offer the right formula to entice drivers of all ages. More space and a longer wheelbase may just put the four-door car on par with its crossover competitors.

2018 Honda Accord

Standing out from the crowd isn’t something that Honda is historically known for, but its styling is quickly moving in that direction. The Honda Civic brought a sharper, sportier design than the outgoing model without compromising what drivers love: quality, efficiency, and space.

Much like the Civic’s redesign, the 2018 Honda Accord looks to make the same move. Sportier styling comes hand-in-hand with the features that drivers love about the midsize sedan. Reliability and quality come standard.

Drivers will also enjoy a few new engines, including a 2.0-liter turbocharged four cylinder that replaces the outgoing V6 engine. The upcoming model also brings a longer wheelbase and more interior space, making it the perfect model for families.

As though that isn’t enough, Honda has another surprise in store. The Honda Accord Hybrid, a model known for offering all of the same qualities as the standard sedan with higher efficiency, will shift production facilities. The hybrid model will officially move from Japan to the United States for the 2018 model year.

We here at Floyd Traylor Honda can’t wait to get behind the wheel of the redesigned 2018 Honda Accord.

2017 Honda Odyssey Family Features

Finding the right minivan to meet the needs of the modern family can be fairly difficult, especially since the segment has shrunk so much over the past few decades. Fortunately, the 2017 Honda Odyssey is still going strong and continues to raise the bar for the segment as a whole. We here at Floyd Traylor Honda know of a few family-friendly features that make the Honda Odyssey a great choice.

Space

The 2017 Honda Odyssey features a spacious interior with seating for up to eight passengers. Once seated, passengers will enjoy up to 172.6 cubic feet of space. Comfortable third-row seats make the Honda Odyssey the perfect vehicle for any family road trip.

Entertainment

Nothing says entertainment like three rows of comfortable seating and a wide window to look out of on the road. Some families want more, especially those with children who grow bored of the scenery rather quickly. Fortunately, Honda is prepared for that.

An available Rear Seat Entertainment System with wireless headset capability makes every trip a quiet and enjoyable one. The system includes a DVD player with rear audio display controls so parents can stay in control at all times.

The nine-inch screen features an ultrawide resolution and an HDMI input that’s used for modern video game systems and several other entertainment devices.

Convenience

Cleaning up after a family vacation can be a hassle. Kids somehow manage to get crumbs, dirt, and other debris throughout the vehicle. Getting a vacuum into the Odyssey is easy, but maneuvering properly could be difficult. That’s why Honda thought ahead. The HondaVAC® is a built-in vacuum cleaner that makes cleaning a stress-free chore.
